Ana is deeply committed to advancing the agricultural sector through science-driven innovations in genetics.
With a focus on managing genetic breeding programs for Pamu Deer Herds and Pamu Terminal Sheep Genetics Flocks, as well as supporting methane research trials to estimate Methane Breeding Values, Ana applies her extensive expertise to improve outcomes for farmers, animals, the environment, and consumers alike.
Since moving to Aotearoa to study at Massey University, Ana has built a strong foundation in animal and veterinary sciences, holding a master’s degree in dairy cow genetics and now completing a PhD focused on dairy sheep genetics. Ana’s diverse experience in animal and veterinary sciences, combined with her hands-on research background, positions her as a valuable contributor to the sustainability and profitability of farming systems. She brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to every aspect of her work, striving to make a positive impact that benefits both people and animals.
